A2A Integration with OneGate: Diligence Software Simplifies the Shift to Certificate-Based Connections

To improve the security, automation, and reliability of regulatory data submissions, Diligence Software is transitioning to a new connection method with OneGate, the portal operated by the Banque de France.

This shift involves replacing traditional username-password authentication with A2A (Application-to-Application) connections secured by a Banque de France authentication certificate. While this certificate does not serve as a digital signature for filings, it does provide a formal and secure method of identifying the submitting institution.

Why move to certificate-based A2A connections?

Since 2009, the Banque de France has supported A2A as the preferred method for automated data transmission between reporting software and the OneGate portal.

Historically, many institutions have relied on basic credential-based logins — a functional but less secure option. With A2A and certificate-based identification, OneGate directly recognizes the reporting institution, offering:

  • Greater transmission security
  • Faster validation and connection
  • Seamless automation

Credential-based access will still be available as a backup method, but A2A is now the recommended standard for future-proofed regulatory operations.

Why now?

Diligence Software has long supported the A2A protocol. However, broad adoption across the industry was previously limited by:

  • Complex technical deployment
  • Friction in obtaining authentication certificates
  • High associated costs

Over the past year, we have developed the infrastructure, automation tools, and client support systems required to make A2A integration smooth, reliable, and cost-neutral.

This includes:

  • End-to-end certificate management
  • Full integration with our RiskAssist.express platform
  • Automated monitoring and renewal
  • Streamlined coordination with Banque de France support teams

The only action required from your institution

To enable the A2A connection, your institution must:

1) Request / order the Banque de France authentication certificate by contacting the OneGate support team (Banque de France).

That’s the only step on your side.

Once the Banque de France issues your certificate:

2) Share the certificate file with Diligence Software.

From there, we handle everything.

What Diligence Software does for you

As part of our turnkey compliance approach, Diligence Software manages the full technical lifecycle of the A2A setup inside RiskAssist.express, including:

  • Installing and configuring the certificate in RiskAssist.express
  • A2A connection setup and system configuration
  • Testing, activation, and validation
  • Monitoring and operational checks
  • Tracking and renewal management (certificate renewal typically every 3 years)

We also coordinate directly with Banque de France / OneGate support during setup when needed, to minimize back-and-forth for your teams.

What does it cost?

There are no additional costs for Diligence Software clients.

  • The Banque de France certificate (typically €150 for 3 years) is purchased by the reporting institution.
  • Diligence Software reimburses the full cost on your annual subscription invoice.
  • The A2A connection setup and maintenance are entirely included in our service — no separate billing, no add-ons.

Looking ahead

This rollout marks a key step toward fully automated, secure, and reliable regulatory reporting infrastructure. Diligence Software is actively expanding certificate-based A2A connectivity across all compatible declarations.

We also continue to monitor regulatory guidance and adapt our platform to ensure every client benefits from the latest technical standards — without added complexity.
